	A unique hybrid of fighter & bomber. Equipped with a single-charge, high damage phase-beam that deals intense burst damage after a few seconds of charging up, at the downside of having to return to its carrier after each attack run.

Description

The Nightblade is a fighter from the Exotech expansion.
It can be bought from Exoships are acquired from defeating Exotech fleets.

Exotech fighters have special movement ai that causes them to orbit opponents at a safe distance, rather than rushing right on to them.
This enables them to fire from a much safer distance and allows them to use their weaponry much more effectively.

The nightblade is a unique type of fighter.
It functions more similarly to that of a bomber, as it is equipped with a burst-beam that has limited charges. Because of this it has to return to its carrier to restock on charges. As its weapon is most effective against armor, it usually tries to not fire its beam until it can hit a part of the ship not blocked by its shields.
