Frontiers

Relics of the Past is an Expansion Pack that adds a new settlement mechanic.
It can be enabled/disabled with the "Enable "Frontiers"" config within the Lunalib configuration.
The expansions content can generate on existing saves if it has not previously been enabled

Description

Frontiers adds what are called "Settlements".
Settlements can be imagined as smaller scale, low maintenance colonies.
They are intended for players that either do not want to get slowed down by colony mechanics, or for those seeking for a nicer midpoint between nothing and having an entire world in your hands.

You can found a new settlement on both planets with an existing colony (as long as the faction is not hostile) or on uncolonised planets.
Doing so costs 350.000 credits.
When establishing the new settlement, you can choose a site which determines what resource is available to you.

Settlements have 5 slots for "Facilities".
Facilities are similar to Industries, but more so offer utilities for the player, rather than largely increasing their profit.
